Focus Areas

The Joseph S. Bruno Charitable Foundation is committed to building stronger communities in greater Birmingham by providing financial and leadership support to organizations in the areas of education, health, community needs, and arts and culture.

An educated and healthy community is the foundation’s priority and strategic commitment. In addition to our grantmaking in the areas of education and health, we support the work of the Bold Goals Coalition of Central Alabama and seek partners who share common interests for collaboration and advocacy allowing for greater impact.

In addition to our primary focus on education and health, we also support arts and culture programs and community needs as our secondary funding priorities.
