How to Apply

For A Joseph S. Bruno Charitable Foundation Grant

The Joseph S. Bruno Charitable Foundation strives to make the grant inquiry and application process as open and clear as possible. However, before you begin it helps to review our Grant Policies and Focus Areas. (See “Important Dates” below for deadlines.)

If you are ready to apply:

The Joseph S. Bruno Charitable Foundation uses the online grants management system, Foundant. If your organization has applied previously, please use the existing account. If you are a new user at your organization, you may create a user profile in the existing account by clicking on Apply Now to create an account and apply for funding. Registration may be done in advance.

Should you have any issues with setting up your account, please contact Christie Smith, csmith@jsbcf.org.

Step 1: Letter of Inquiry Step 1: Letter of Inquiry

Inquiries are accepted by the Foundation twice a year through the online system. The brief inquiry form asks for information related to your organization and project. Please understand that while all inquiries will be read they may not generate an invitation to apply for funding.

Step 2: Application (by invitation only) Step 2: Application (by invitation only)

All Letters of Intent will receive a response from the Foundation by the date noted in Important Dates.  Those who receive an approval response are invited to submit a grant application online. More information on the grant proposal/application process will be provided at that time.

Step 3: Proposal Review & Funding Determination Step 3: Proposal Review & Funding Determination

Final applications are presented to the Board of Directors for review and final funding decisions. The Joseph S. Bruno Charitable Foundation staff will notify you after funding decisions are confirmed and when the Grant Agreement is ready to be reviewed and signed electronically through the online grants system. You can expect a decision in about 60 days of the application deadline.

Step 4: Reporting Step 4: Reporting

Grantee Follow Up Reports are submitted through our online grants system.  They may be submitted at anytime within the grant period.  We look forward to hearing how effective the grant was in your work.
